'10 Autumn Wishlist

I know, its spring in Aus, Aus's season is kinda opposite to the rest of the world, actually, everything here is opposite from the others, who lives such a boring life? so i based mine on the westerns..

It will be exactly 3 months since i first lay my ass here in another 2 days.. which means that i have been complaining that Perth is a boring and sucky place for the past 3 months, and i don't plan to stop any time soon.. Ok, i'll stop that crap.. here's the wishlist..

4. Shades
or
Yeah, the old RayBan or the newer Oakley.. DOESN'T MATTER =D Sun is kinda bright and chicks are kinda hot, so shades help *wink*

3. Contacts
Hate to wear specs the whole time, and shades are on my 4th wish list. Contacts are the temporary solution to a laser eye surgery I'm so gonna get later..

2. HTC HD2
I'm so sick of those iPhones and BlackBerries these days.. EVERYONE is using them!! in some way BB, which i considered the best phone previously, is such a common now, their uniqueness kinda smeared.. HD2 in the other hand, has not been seen anywhere in this piece of land, its cool, classy, big-screened, and most important of all BLACK.. but.. there is 1 prob, keypads are no where to be seen.. kinda dislike full touch screen cells.. =/

1. iPad
Thanks Mr. Jobs for holding.. =D My parents know this best, have been nagging for like ages.. how cool to have 1!!!

I Need Cash!!

A month ago i arrived, a month later, impretty mush still in square 1 - unemployed.. i seriously wonder how am i going to earn the bucks to fly back during the holidays; i can hardly buy myself a bus ticket now!! funnily, some guy from curtin sarawak campus told me that perth has many part-time jobs and the competition ain't fierce.. BULLSHIT!! =.= i think i just gave away like.. 5 resumes with no replies?

Well, life had changed a little since i first got here, can't expect much from such a slow-paced area huh? maybe i should be happy to have at least something to do here!! unlike my uncle, the only thing he does is to watch tv, and to throw his money on the betting table.. lifeless much.. guess i should start saving up for to rent a house in the future, just got to know he mortgaged his own house just to gamble, poor aunty who has to pay for it.. =[ well, he made me realize something though, casinos are really cash generators, like SERIOUS CASH GENERATORS!! he lost almost a million to them @.@ now i know how uncle Lim got his billions.. fyi, Burswood casino and hotel were formally owned by him.. good place to invest in the future..

I have to be in the uni for 9hours tomorrow and with only a single 2hour break in the middle, it will be like, 5hours straight of classes, 2hours of break and the last 2hours in class again... just realize i have only 7hours left to sleep.. don't feel like sleeping at all now.. miss home a lot now.. miss those cheap food, miss my bed, miss my super computer, miss my dumbbells, miss the swimming pool, miss the car (not really the car, just miss having a car, so i don't have to take a bus everywhere), miss to not have to worry for job, and most of all, i miss being to seeing my family the whole time.. i can still see my parents everyday now, but through a not-too-clear webbie.. not the webbie's fault actually (in fact dad just bought a 250bucks webbie so that i can see them clearer), it was the sucky malaysian internet's fault >.<

Now i realize that i must seriously find ways to get cash, the legal way i mean.. i'm too lazy to work!! perhaps selling stuffs online? i'd seen news reports saying that there were people who earned thousands per week just by selling collectibles on the net.. and you'll wonder, just go get some collectibles and sell'em.. U THOUGHT SO EASY MEH??? seriously, i'll do so if i can find the sources of those collectibles, provided they are in a bargained price.. some days, i thought of gaining some cash through the stock market, well, i could use that as a practice 'coz i once heard that we'll be given an assignment in the future whereby a hundred will be allocated for us to invest and if we get earn more than some amount after some time, we'll be considered pass (those hundred grand would better be real).. but after a second thought, i don't really have the guts to invest in growth stocks.. there are only two outcomes from investing in those stocks, its either u earn a fortune or u go bust together with the company.. its too risky, i have my tuition fee at stake, better not try to commit a financial suicide.. i may only invest in blue chip companies as they provide steady profits (unless they get themselves into trouble), but there's a catch, those steady profits ain't significant (you might wana laugh your ass out even if there's only a 20% return of your investment after a year).. let's see, 20% of a 1000bucks is.. 200bucks.. so you are gonna earn only 200bucks after a year.. it is only worthwhile to invest in blue chips stocks if you have large sum of capital, oya, and that's how Mr. Buffett got his 'third richest man in the world' title..

OZ My God!! Get Me Outta Here!!!

The very last time i posted an update, i was 4,443.91km away from where i am now... yes perth, the peaceful city (when i say peaceful, i don't really mean to like it) i won't say that i like being in a dangerous place where bombs were dropped everywhere, mafias ruling over the police, its just that perth.. its a nice place for retirement, not quite a good place to put a teenage boy that likes to go out every time.. (guess friends and family i'm gonna come out with this complaint in my blog)

It's cold now, expecting a 5degree Celcius night, 11.37pm now and i should be in bed for my 1st class tomorrow.. i can't believe its only a couple of weeks ago since my parents left me here, alone, it was like AGES ago.. seriously, time passed by damn slow here.. i did expect a lifestyle similar to this, but, its way worst than what i imagined..

I was told by my cousin that my face got rounder (didn't see that coming).. haha, but i can't expect much, i ate a lot, i mean A WHOLE DAMN LOT!!! i did jog, but still, it ain't enough to burn off the calories i gained.. so.. guess i'll be fatter and rounder if i don't do it at all.. and i'm so in need of a set of dumbbells which is soooo much expensive here..

Talking about prices.. i mean if u don't convert it to Malaysian Ringgit (as in dollar per dollar) the food are DAMN EXPENSIVE!!! cheapest meal in the campus that will half fill your tummy? a 6Aud burger.. i would have to walk for 15minutes to get to a cheaper alternative, a 4.5Aud chicken rice (don't forget the 15minutes walk back to campus).. there are no cheap food here, guess that chicken rice is the best value for money in the whole W.A... coffee is cheap though, 4~5bucks for a large cup of coffee.. besides coffee, other drinks aren't quite a recommendation if u are trying to save some bucks.. 1 thing real funny here, a 2L coke is cheaper than a 625ml coke.. its the same coke, same flavor, same packaging, just different in volume.. makes no sense =.=

Kinda late now, will continue my complaint in twitter or in the next post.. please excuse me for for any grammatical error, seriously, it wasn't intended, i type what i have in head and i have no more energy to go through it once more for any grammatical errors.. ain't a good move, don't try this at home.. night pals..

Joke Of The Day

Scientists at Rolls Royce built a gun specifically to launch dead chickens at the windshields of airliners and military jets all travelling at maximum velocity. The idea was to simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields. American engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the windshields of their new high speed trains. Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the American engineers. When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped the engineer’s back-rest in two and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin like an arrow shot from a bow..

The horrified engineers sent Rolls Royce the disastrous results of the experiment, along with the designs of the windshield and begged the British scientists for suggestions. Rolls Royce responded with a one-line memo:

Defrost the chicken..

The World's What !?!?!?

This duck-head-looking 1936 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic was bought for a price tag of $30~40million!!! it was so titled "the world's most expensive car".. what the hell were they thinking about??? i'll give it a title too, "the world's ugliest car".. and apparently, Ralph Lauren has 1 of the 2 (the other, which is the one in the above picture, was sold) completely original Atlantics in this world!!! >.< i'd rather buy 40million bucks worth of super cars or super luxury cars or even a private jet instead of this..

Cameron

Was exactly 1 week since we set foot in Cameron Highland, the weather was AWESOME!!! the average temperature was around 19~25 degree Celsius and i loved it the way it was, it rained a little but wasn't much a problem..

Scenery there was spectacular yet the one i love most was from the BOH tea plantation..

Items bought:
1) half a fridge of strawberries:
2) 12 bottles of strawberry jam
3) 3 bottles of strawberry cordial
4) 1 bottle of strawberry topping
5) 3 bottles of honey
6) 2 bottles of propolis extraction
7) 15bucks worth of veggie
8) 2kgs of corns
9) 2kgs of sweet potatoes
10) a box of ceylon tea
11) flowers (not sure bout the price)

guess that's it (was too boring, so i listed all out =.=), am not sure what else i left out.. the strawberry part was a little too much, and i guess that was enough to supply us for a full year of strawberry crave (to clarify, we gave out 3/4 of strawberries, strawberry cordial and strawberry jams, haven't lost our minds to keep everything to ourselves)..

p/s:
daddy, 1 more time i see you using the phone while driving, i'll issue you a summon before the police do..

What I've Done For The Past 2 Days

Had two farewells in 2 consecutive days which also translates to having 2 heavy dinners in a roll.. i can't imagine how much workout should be done to burn off those calories gained =.= none of the photos from those farewells will be displayed here, and i can't be blamed for not taking any pictures, i don't even have my own camera!!! so guess you guys will only get to see those photos once they were uploaded into facebook by my friends..

Btw, i had wonderful times with my classmates, i enjoyed a lot.. i even received my birthday present from them:

Thank you guys a bunch!!! the boxers will be very very useful!!! @.@

Am going on a family trip to Cameron Highland for 3 days, starting in 4.5hours from now.. this trip is the 1st trip since a thousand years ago, and i'm not kidding ('a thousand years' as in metaphor), we haven't had a trip together since a very very long time ago, mum and dad is just too reluctant to go for a trip, they used to say that the house is where a family should be @.@ there's nothing i can do but to agree with them..

there were times i mentioned in twitter that i'd prefer the trip to be postponed to the week after this, cause there will be a photography fair by the weekend, there's a 25% chance of me getting a camera if dad goes to that fair, but there's only a mere 5% chance that dad will go to that fair =[ at least i have some chance rite? and and and if i really got the camera by then, i can do some test shots in Cameron =DD

Guess i'll mark the full stop here, still have a bag to pack =/chaoz..

Post-exam Update 2

Could do more on the title, but was too lazy to... so...will leave it this way.. anyways, this is just a short post to show that i'm still alive.. =D

Had quite a disciplined lifestyle after the exams, everyday, without fail, i will eat, steam and then sleep, which is pretty much the routine..

Promised to finish 'the 7habits of a highly effective person' but it doesn't seem as easy as it sounded.. that book is darn boring and practically a pain in the ass reading it.. i'm actually not interested in it, took up the promise just to challenge myself.. =D guai gu rite? and yea, i have a total of 3 more books to finish which mounted up to 2500 pages.. HOW IN HELL AM I GONNA FINISH IT?? nvm, guess i'll ask my parents to send it to me later via courier when im in Perth..

Currently waiting for the final exam's result.. after the results (if i passed all) i'll be waiting for the uni's firm offer letter, so its pretty much a period of waiting waiting and waiting.. wanted to look for a job, but if i managed to get all my papers passed, i'll be taking off probably by june or july.. so, will see how it goes..

Guess that's all for the day.. will update later (if i'm in the mood) =DD

Make Me Happy..

Had been slacking a little these days.. or maybe a lot, or maybe i wasn't doing my work at all @.@ but here i am, back in the blog-sphere.. It's the 5th week (and the 2nd last week) im in college, i'd better start on my mathematics, calculus is freaking hard!!! after that, (hopefully) i'll be getting my graduation certificates and may be heading to Aussie in either June or October (it depends on the college/university i choose)..

I have this 1 last wish list before leaving M'sia, yet i don't think i'll get to own any, at least in the nearest future (that was why they were in the 'wish list' not the 'wanted list') =.=

The Countdown:

5. Ray Ban Aviator
Previously mentioned, nothing too special bout these shades, just that the design, i really do like it a lot.. its so damn cool.. and nonetheless, every celebrity has one of those..

4. Nikon D5000

This camera isn't really a must-have but, it will make my day better having one of that.. kinda like snapping scenery lately.. you know.. those black and white type of scenery pictures? i like those, in fact, i'm having one of those as my desktop wallpaper.. its a black and white photo of a street somewhere in England.. i just love it.. and i love pictures of city skylines too.. and they all come from this buddy..

3. iPod Touch
People will be wondering, why not get an iPhone instead? the fact is, i don't really like my phone and my mp3 player to be bundled in a device, im not sure why i have that thinking... why the iPod Touch instead of the normal iPods? dad got his iPhone lately and i kinda like the App Store and the web browser, this device is capable of full web browsing, which means you can play your Facebook games from it.. wow.. and Tap Tap Revenge from Tapulous was cool too... =D

2. BlackBerry Bold 9700
Ow yeah.. the ninety-seven hundred.. i loved it even before it was launched.. look at it, the elegance, the glossy front cover and the leather back cover.. just love it.. the only reason this baby is in the second placing was that my current cell is still functioning (with some faults though)..

1. MacBook/MacBook Pro
I'm currently using a desktop at home (which i love a lot) and since i will be going to Aussie soon, it seems that a notebook will come in handy.. i don't pick the MacBook for no reasons, yet it's looks wasn't the only reason it appears on top of my wish list.. dad said MacBooks tend to have the shortest start-up time among its rivals.. and oya oya.. it has an nVidia graphic card bundled... performance-wise, guess it kinda belongs to the 'above-average' class... so... guess those will be the reasons i choose it.. =D

*Pissed!!!*

A trip back from Sungai Petani marked the start of my 2-week ground at home... don't misunderstand, i did nothing wrong, and was a total good boy (and i always was =D) since dengue cases in my grandma's housing area back in Sungai Petani were getting serious by day, dad decided to bring granny back for a stay in our house for a fortnight or so..

Fyi, dad sold off his old Mercedes to make way for the newer-but-still-old car (which i don't think he will ever get it from his bosses before i graduate from college, and i have a feeling that i won't even have the chance to take a ride on it since i might be leaving for Australia in either July or October or February 2011).. btw, i'm back to taking bus to college which was 17km from home and at the meantime, the only transport of the family is the good old Perodua My-vi... Granny is non-distant-walking-able, her wheelchair won't fit into our cute little My-vi (now i kinda miss the Mercedes's large boot capacity), and all these translates to the whole family staying at home for the whole 2-weeks of granny's stay..

Not trying to complain here... but... OK!!! so i'm complaining here, so what? i'm not those who can sit at home the whole day, and most of my friends know this fact well, a little complain here is still acceptable ok? its not like i'm protesting anyway..

Dad shouldn't had sold the Mercedes that early, he was worried he won't be able to sell the car before the road tax expires, and he was not even the one paying for the road tax.. seriously dad should only sell the car after the new car is confirmed available... now, the old car is sold, and look who is the troubled one? me!!! taking the bus to the college from komtar and back to komtar from the college everyday just ain't fun!!! see what happens now, the fcuking KL side haven't started looking for the new car, and we are here, all stuck with a small car... Social life? don't ever think about it until dad gets the new car.. =.=

*Too Lazy To Think of A Title*

I hate going back to Sungai Petani, i'll get fat going back there.. its like a food fiesta the whole day.. first was the heavy lunch, then comes lots of not-too-lite snacks and at last, to sum up the day, a heavy dinner.. i'll never get the chance to even maintain my body weight by going back to SP often.. =.=

It is kind of a peak season for education fairs this time of the year, you know, STPM results were just announced and SPM results will be out in another 3 days time, every college and universities around the world are trying to grab as much intake as possible.. In just a day, me and my family had already went to 2 education fairs.. In the morning was the Star edu. fair and in the afternoon, the Australia edu. fair in G-Hotel.. went to the Star edu. fair for my sis, she was trying to get some 'ideas' on which course and college (or the sixth form) to persue.. next was the Australia edu. fair, and it was for me..

Inquired from a representative of UWA on some information regarding courses to be taken if i were to be a financial analyst in the future, yet me and my family ended up getting a lecture from that guy for like, 20 minutes... i wasn't any clearer on which degree should i go for, and was made confused + in a dilemma for a while... he was very informative, but in a wrong way, and ironically, i kinda agree on what he told me, that's the reason i was in dilemma for a while, doubting if i chose the right path to study @.@

Its the last semester in the college and i'll have only 1 shot to finish my diploma course, any fails will send me to deferment to the university.. i should and must try all the best to finish this diploma, hence putting a full stop on my engineering education.. really hope things go well this time.. *fingers crossed*

I'm Still Alive!!

I have been disappearing from the triple-W since a long time (except for Facebook and Tweeter).. wasn't quite in a mood to go online in my Live Messenger nor to update my blog.. kinda pity my widowed blog..

Life was same old, was trying my best to finish the Friends series ASAP so i can get back to do other things that means more in life =.= talking about Friends, Joey was soo hilarious!! can't stop laughing when his stupidity strikes.. After this series, i have 3 books waiting for me.. 2 investment books and an economic books.. boring rite? not to me.. kinda like those lately, and i have no idea why, and i kept track of news of giant companies and the US Fed a lot lately.. I'M SO GETTING OLD NOW!!!! wait, i'm not, but my mind is!!! so not cool!!! but no worries, i won't be talking bout the economical issues nor stuffs related to companies here, don't wana scare you readers away.. XD

Its March and i'm still holding all the university's application form, not sure am i considered late, but there will be an Australia Edu fair in G hotel this weekend, will totally go check it out and submit those forms by then.. so, the list of institutes i'm applying for is down to 3 universities and 2 colleges.. They are all in the Western Australia.. hope they all will be offer me a place *fingers crossed*

Dad bought me a watch i had long waited for for doing the best among all exams of the past (still not good, but better).. was considering a French Connection before the current , but dad pulled out the crown of the watch and the whole thing just came out @.@ the promoter was shocked, dad was shock and i was shocked too.. didn't know French Connection watches have such crappy quality.. and so, i bought this instead :

Love this watch much.. i think i'll regret buying the French Connection.. Dad disliked the French Connection one since the beginning, he said it was a fashion watch, and will probably not last long, guess the pull of the watch's crown proved him right.. BTW, thanks dad for the watch.. and thanks mum and dad for the support.. =D

Encouragement

There were times, when one felt like doing something, fearing about the uncertainties and scaring of the worst that might happen out of it... this is when a little push from someone really does matter a lot and might impact a lot.. we used to call that encouragement, and sometimes, it really does make a whole lot of difference to someone..

Take myself as an example, i was very very uncertain when the thought of changing to an economic course came to mind. Economics was like being in a totally different world from the engineering world i'm in now, there were new terms, new concepts, new rules and everything seemed alien to me.. knowing the uncertainties i was having, my parents told me, if i was sure that economics is be the one for me, i should go for it no doubt.. It was that encouragement that took me to a whole new level, i started reading business/economic articles, started to take notice of global economic trends and so on..

In contrary, if it wasn't that push, i would had just forget about taking know those economical issues happening around me, and won't even bother to read those StarBiz articles.. In the end, i might end up doing something i don't at all like in the future..

Here are two inspirational videos out of the many circulating around the web.. they do highlight the word "Encourage" a lot..

Post-exam Update

Exam was over like, a couple of days ago, and i used the next two days adjusting my biological cock.. =.= so now, im tired, and i mean tired for the whole day, day and nite, 24/7.. much thanks to 'a cup of coffee a day, keeps your sleep away', i had like, almost 15-20 cup of coffee for the whole exam period, and for the last 3 days of exam, i had only 6 hours of sleep (for the 3 days) and now im practically tired the whole time >.<

So, exam was in the previous chapter, its gonna be CNY soon, and it means i'll be going to shop for my new clothes, in fact, i will be going to Gurney Plaza with mum and sis soon.. oya, dad's in a company trip to Bangkok, enjoying the sun, the tut-tuts, the temples, the...(don't really like Thailand, so i don't really care what do they have there) so, practically he is enjoying there, and enjoying his photography sessions there @.@ will wait for the photos..

Not really in a mood of blogging now actually, but my blog seemed lifeless, so thought of adding some updates to it.. haha.. just recovered from the sore throat + flu + cough i got from my exam period, just in time to get well for CNY.. god bless.. lol..

Since CNY is so near, i'd like to make a request for an item. XD i hereby announce that i SERIOUSLY need a watch, and dad, i had been asking for like ages, so why don't you just buy me 1? *wink wink* I even watched out for your budget, this cheap watch:

instead of the expensive:

and :

See, i do watch out for your wallet, dad, the 1st watch is like 1/70 of the second watch and 1/10 of the third watch.. im such a good kid XD

The Jun's 3 'Self' Rule

This post would probably be the last update i'll make until the end of my examinations, which is on the 27th of January.

The examination worries me, but 1 thing worries me even more.. my life and studies after the diploma.. My parents made me realize that IF (a big IF here) i were to go to Aus to continue my studies, i must work not just to earn myself a living, but also to subsidize part of my own tuition fee.

Let me do the calculations here:
Each week, i would have to work for 20hours (minimum), attend around 20hours of class, take around 20hours of bus to school (2hours per way, to-and-fro means 4hours per day, 5days per week means 20hours per week). Sum all up and it will be 60hours.

Each week, we have 7x24hours = 168
1/3 of the time goes to sleeping = 1/3 x 168 = 56
Left time = 168-60-56 = 52hours

The remaining 52hours per week includes bathing, eating, revising, home-working, finding more ways to generate income and everything else. Who said studying abroad will be easy?

Then i started to realize, the 3 years of study in Aus would eventually come to a dead end if i still continue to laze around, staring the computer all the time, waiting for others to finish their home works 1st so that i can copy and do all those stupid, nonsense + non-beneficial stuffs. Not trying to prove that i'd changed, its all just pure logical thinking here, the graduating cert will never be in my hands if things continued this way..

So, for my new year's resolution (since its just less than a week after new year, i still get the chance to alter my resolutions XD), i would like to add these :

7) Adapt self-discipline in life.
8) Learn to have self-esteem.
9) Enhance self-confidence.

Wow, those were 3 'self's... and i shall call it the Jun's 3 'Self' Rule.. won't be forgetting the 5th new year resolution, choo.. XD

Oya, the above 3 rules will only be implemented AFTER arriving in Aus. haha.. so, T&C applies.. Guess i'll still be enjoying life for now (while i still can).. =D

It's time for me to pick the right university (or more to them picking me =.=). Either ways, i'd picked a few, which i'll let them pick me later on.. =D

Since i have my aunt and uncle living in Perth, there might be chances that Perth may be my next education destination (not 100% sure though, but otherwise, its KL)..If i were to study in Perth, accommodation wouldn't be much an issue, although it may take me a little longer to travel to either universities (which is least of my concern) compared the students' accommodation facilities near the respective universities.

Went talking to a university's representative yesterday with my parents and found out that my diploma was actually recognized and it shocked a hell outta me (had even thought of discontinuing my diploma and to hit A-levels instead). Was thinking of Curtin UOT at first, but since a person from the education counseling firm told us that UWA may accept my diploma too, it quickly became my first choice (but i don't really think UWA will accept, since it calls itself some sort of 'PRESTIGIOUS').

Got a collection of booklets from the universities too:

Strike out 2009 and tick 2010

Its the 1st day of a new year and no need for me to mention, we all know that its the starting of the end of the decade, so thought it would be great to have my blog updated..

To review the past year:
Much had happened in the year 2009, and some had even changed me dramatically.. will list out those which i would like to emphasize on..

Spent the whole 2009 in college, did not enjoy going to college, every semester was like a raging battle against electronics stuffs, laws, mathematics, theories, equations, electrical components and more.. but no worries, 4more months to go.. and im free!!!!! (provided i didn't fail any of the subjects) and it should be, by then, the time of most dilemma, to decide which university to go for.. Besides that, 2009 was also the year i broke with my ex, and regain my freedom XD was so happy for getting back all my freedom and now i should appreciate all that im having.. XD

Year 2009 was also an important year as it decided which path i should proceed for my studies - the finance path.. In that year, i realized whom i would turn to when i had any non-academic problems and to whom i would share my feelings with.

Resolutions for the new year:
1) to finish my diploma ASAP
2) to spend more time with my family
3) to get enrolled in a university that is at least better than TARC or UTAR =.=
4) to learn more and perhaps to start an investment portfolio
5) kick Choo's balls when he is back in M'sia =D
6) GET A WATCH!!!!!

Ok, the last 2 might be a little bit overboard.. but who cares, its MY resolution and i get to choose what i like.. So, be careful Choo =]
